Under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh, SGTD welcomed the first ship of the Djibouti Shipping Company, the M/V Africa Sun. The ceremony was presided over by the Head of State in the presence of the President of APZFD, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, the CEO Mr. Abdillahi Adaweh Sigad, members of the government as well as many partners.

SGTD Doraleh Container Terminal was pleased to participate in Transport Middle East 2025, the region’s leading port and logistics event, held from 31st August to 2nd September 2025 in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman.
The CEO and our Commercial team represented SGTD, reaffirming our strong commitment to strengthening our position on the global maritime trade and providing a great platform to connect with international customers and partners, and explore new opportunities to enhance our terminal’s growth and regional global business potential.
We were honored to welcome the first visit of the newly elected President of Somaliland, H.E Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, to the SGTD Doraleh Terminal. His visit marks a significant step toward strengthening regional ties and promoting strategic cooperation.
During the tour, the President was briefed by our management team on the terminal’s state-of-the-art equipment and operations, its pivotal role in regional trade and future expansion plans aimed at boosting economic growth in the region.
This visit reflects a shared vision for prosperity and connectivity.
